Talk to an IA Family

If you are interested in coming to IA and would like to talk to a family with a currently enrolled student, please complete the Prospective Family Information Form. The FCS IA PTSO will find a family to match with you to answer your questions.

Who is eligible to apply?

Rising 9th graders who are zoned for Alpharetta, Cambridge, Centennial, Chattahoochee, Johns Creek, Milton, North Springs, Northview, Riverwood, or Roswell High Schools.

How are students accepted?

It is a lottery-based acceptance process with roughly 400 students being accepted annually.

What makes IA different from other high schools in the area?

Innovation Academy students take on real-world problems in their selected pathway courses, setting us apart from traditional high schools with a focus on Health Science, Information Technology, and Engineering.

How do students get to and from school?

Transportation between the student’s zoned high school and Innovation Academy will be provided in the morning and in the afternoon, but it is the guardian's responsibility to get students to their zoned high school.

What are the graduation requirements?

Graduation requirements are the same across all Fulton County Schools; Innovation Academy does require student to pass GT Block for 9th graders and a research class for all 11th graders.

What student life opportunities are available for students?

IA currently has 150+ clubs.

Students can participate at their zoned high school’s GHSA sanctioned sport, IA only offers E-Sports as a GHSA sport.
